Description:
A36 carbon steel pipe is a steel pipe made of A36 grade carbon steel in the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard. Since the carbon content generally does not exceed 0.26%, it is a typical low-carbon steel, which also determines its good ductility and weldability. The typical characteristics of A36 steel are moderate strength, good weldability, excellent processing performance, and high cost performance. It is currently the most widely used type of carbon steel material. Due to its stable mechanical properties and low manufacturing cost, A36 carbon steel is widely used in building structures, bridges, machinery manufacturing, ordinary pressure vessels, agricultural equipment, and low-pressure fluid transportation.
In terms of strength, the yield strength of A36 steel is about 250 megapascals (MPa), and the tensile strength can reach 400~550 MPa, which can meet the use requirements of most medium-load-bearing structures. A36 steel pipes made by hot rolling or cold working processes can be seamless pipes or welded pipes, depending on the strength and cost requirements of the use scenario.
